Moors Protection Services’ escort services specialise in providing non-secure escort services for children and young people in the youth justice and care systems throughout England and Wales.

We are committed to meeting the highest standards, and provide a professional and compassionate service, which is sensitive to the individual needs of those in our care and we adhere to the youth Justice board guidelines.

Due to our current marketing campaign we currently have an exciting opportunity for non-secure escorts to join our team. Working as part of a team you will act as an escort or driver in supporting the nominated vulnerable child or/young person who is being transported.

You will be expected to familiarise yourself with Moors Protection Services policies and procedures and all other legislative policies relevant to the role. You will maintain confidentiality at all times and to ensure that all documents and records you write is legible, accurate and concise.

You will be expected to provide a high level of dignity, respect and professionalism in all areas of your duty Moors Protection Services escort service operates 24/7, 365 days a year and although we would expect you to work regularly you have the benefit of selecting when you are available to work.

Applicants will have previous experience supporting vulnerable adults, children or young people and will have held a full driving license for at least three years. We provide comprehensive in-house training and support, and are backed by competitive rates of pay.

This position will require an enhanced DBS disclosure, which will initially be funded by the applicant and reimbursed following successful completion of the probationary period.

  • Escort of absconders
  • Escort to and from residential care
  • Escort of unaccompanied minors
  • Escort to various international destinations.

CARE, SUPERVISION AND SUPPORT SERVICES FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE

  • From a few hours to 24-hours per day to long_ term commissions in the home community
  • Full written reports can be provided to the customer if required

SECURE HOSPITAL BED WATCH

  • 24-hour secure supervision of children and young people with secure orders during a hospital stay

SUPERVISED CONTACT SERVICES

  • Designated contact Centre or in the community
    Moors Protection Services provides reliable and punctual personnel to conduct all supervised contact sessions, between parent and child or sibling contacts. The service is entirely independent and totally impartial providing a cost effective solution for social services and guardians. Moors Protection Services can provide trained independent personnel to supervise contact sessions A report suitable for court presentation is prepared after each session and sent to the Social Worker immediately after the contact The session can take place at a centre or other appropriate venue. The contact supervisor can transport the YP from their placement to the designated meeting place, and then return them home. This also ensures that the placement location remains confidential.

WELFARE RECOVERY ORDER TASKS

  • Assisting with the implementation of recovery orders including the removal of children from the home & escort to placement as required
  • Working with the police and other agencies as required

APPROPRIATE ADULT SERVICES

  • Undertaking the role of an appropriate adult for a child/ young person as appropriate
    This service is offered as part of escort services or as a standalone service as required

SUPPORT OF YOUNG PEOPLE ENTERING INDEPENDENT LIVING

  • Short or long term provision on a regular or ad hoc basis
  • Practical skills and assisting with developing life skills
